If it can help me cross Los Angeles, it can do anything!
Pros:
Small size, easy to read screen, perfect performance.
Cons:
Would like a screen protector and, as always, more memory
The Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a portable GPS, this is a great purchase.

Author's Review
My wife bought me the Garmin Quest for my birthday. I travel for business, and often end up in some very remote/rural areas, so this was a great item for me. And, the timing was perfect, as I would be traveling to California from Missouri the next week.
After some testing of the routing around home, I decided to go it without maps in California. I loaded the maps, set my destinations (Hotel, Offices, Employee Homes), and hoped on the plane. I arrived at LAX, got my rental car, and set the lot as Home. I attached the Quest to the windshield with the suction cup mount (which held the entire trip, despite the extreme temperatures). Then,
I told the Garmin to route me to my hotel, in Palm Desert (a couple of hours away). Off we went.
I really liked the features of the unit. An easy to see screen, a friendly female voice advising me of my upcoming turns, and tons of local information. Using the unit took a learning curve of about an hour. My Quest took me across L.A., and off to the desert, arriving at the driveway of my hotel. Perfect!
Then, during the week, I had to drive to numerous areas around the valley. Garmin made one mistake the entire time, telling me to turn right instead of left, but I figured it out very quickly (there was obviously no movie theater ahead). I was also able to use the Quest to notate the locations where I found company property for future purposes.
Went I got home, I downloaded the "track", and was able to see on a map everywhere I had been.
Truthfully, for it's size, I was amazed at how well it performed. It's the same size as a cell phone, and packs quite a bit of memory. The buttons are easy to navigate, although some people miss the touch screen of other units. For me, the trade off in size, and being able to take it out and toss it in my pants pocket, rather than leaving it in the car to be stolen, more then made up for the lack of touch screen.
Overall, it's a great unit. Battery life was great, ease of use was exceptional, and accuracy of information was near perfect. This was a great birthday present!
