Pros: User interface, Small size, WAAS, Voice prompts, Auto reroute, POI
Cons: Very few - No touch screen, Search speed
The Bottom Line: I would recommend Garmin i3 to anybody who is looking for more than a basic GPS for under $300.00
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Have been looking for a GPS for a long time, not because I miss exits too often, but only to pile up on my gadgets. Had been monitoring the technology advancements and prices on these units for years and finally locked my choice on Garmin i3 when I...

Pros: Affordable, small, accurate, easy to use.
Cons: Slow searching for addresses, in city traffic sometimes turn instructions are a little late.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for anyone who needs a very portable in-car navigation system. It delivers all the basic features, works well, and it's compact and simple to use.

Review: Why I got it
I purchased this before heading off on a 10-day driving vacation; I selected this particular model after reading a lot of good reviews and seeing that I could get it for less than $300. What's in the... |

Pros: Small, light, accurate, easy to use. Economical to buy.
Cons: Small screen, no touch screen.
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend buying this unit (possibly one for each of your cars) to ensure you do not get lost!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The Garmin StreetPilot i3 is one of three in this mini-series by the respected GPS manufacturer.
It is very similar to both the i2 and the i5. The i2 is a, less expensive, monochromatic version. The i5 is a, more expensive, version with... |

Pros: Low price, high usability, high accuracy, high portability.
Cons: Time to find satellites or POIs can be relatively high. No POIs shown on map.
The Bottom Line: Very good value and very useful tool!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I wanted a GPS for the car but I think they are a bit overpriced. This one popped up and the ONLY reason that I even looked at it was the price.
I have to say that I didn't think I'd find this unit very usable. I was worried about the... |

Pros: cheap, fast route build, good visual and voice guide, many interesting features
Cons: too simple, slow route rebuild, very slow address input, very slow satellite tracking
The Bottom Line: It can be a fine "entry level" GPS given the current price level, but useful only if you do all planning before hand. I won't recommend it for daily use.

Pros: It is small, with clear screen and good loud clear voice instructions.
Cons: The possibility that keeping maps up to date could be difficult and/or expensive.
The Bottom Line: I can recommend this unit on price alone. It is so much cheaper than any other unit I have looked at.

Review: I have only once before used a GPS navigation system, and that was a simple "turn left here, turn right here" system in a Toyota. That particular system took me, rather imaginatively through a multi-storey car-park, whilst trying to get me to a...

Pros: Voice prompting, 128MB for maps, DVD Maps, easily downloadable waypoints, and data importing. Autodimming
Cons: Smallish screen size, satellite acquistion time might be long. Can't download customizable routes.
The Bottom Line: Few units in this price range will include voice prompting and 128mb map/data capacity. Some might not like the small screen, I prefer it.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The Garmin StreetPilot i3 is a color version of the i2. This unit features Voice Prompting. I feel that this is a must have. While some units may have "alerts" having actual voice prompting gives you a better idea of what's ahead and not have to...

Pros: Compact, portable, nice layout, inexpensive, navigates well.
Cons: Website not helpful, long hold times, long wait for email support, mixed results with landmarks.
The Bottom Line: If you're willing to work out inital issues on your own, and want an affordable unit, this may be for you. Make sure it's returnable in case of problems.

Review: The Garmin i3 is a small, compact unit, that does a very good job of navigating while on roads. This unit has been an adventure since I got it, and the setup process has been the biggest obstacle toward what is otherwise an excellent unit for its...
