Works great!

Date of Review:  Sep 8, 2007
Review: I bought the Forerunner 305 in May of 2007 and have been using it regularly ever since. I like all of the features the device offers and it sync's to my Macbook flawlessly. Coming with support software for Apple products is also a plus.

Best Training Tool I Have Ever Used

Date of Review:  Jul 3, 2006
The Bottom Line: Excellent Tool. Very well worth the money. Will save me a ton of time with all data dumped into computer. No more log books.
Review: I have been an on-and-off again runner for 12 years and have tried a lot of products to analyze my training and performance.

I will use this primarily for running and mountain biking.

I have had both Polar and Timex heart rate...

Helps my runs.

Date of Review:  Jun 15, 2006
The Bottom Line: This unit is a wonderful training tool because it allows you to see from where you've come and where you need to go.
Review: I didn't realize how lazy I was until I strapped this watch on my wrist. We live in an area measured by kilometers. It is very nice to have a tool to measure miles.
I bought the Forerunner 305 in early April and have used it every run since. It...

It works for me!

Date of Review:  Sep 10, 2006
Review: I have only had it for 2 weeks but I love it. I have taken it hiking, biking and running and it works very well for all. It works well inside on my treadmill too, I just turn off the GPS. It is ok for navigation but that is not what it is designed...

My Love/Hate Relationship with a Garmin Forerunner 305

Date of Review:  Jan 6, 2008
The Bottom Line: This gadget keeps track of so many variables, such as speed, distance, pace, heart-rate, and calories burned. A great aid especially if you train alone. Purchase_only from a reputable_retailer.
Review: Much to my excitement, as a Christmas present in 2006, I received a Garmin Forerunner 305. I immediately charged the battery and proceeded to decipher the instruction booklet. I couldn t wait to use it!

For one year I ve had a love/hate...

Must Have for Pace minded runner

Date of Review:  May 28, 2008
The Bottom Line: A must have if you want to get more serious about your training
Review: I purchased my Garmin 305 over a year ago. I love this product!

Start Up takes a bit of time but the added info really does help you get accurate information. You have to put in gender & weight. From that they give you general heart rate...

Better than I hoped, but not as good as it could be

Date of Review:  Jul 20, 2008
The Bottom Line: Sure, get one. You know you want one. And you won't pay an arm and a leg for it, or have to buy it a la carte like some systems.
Review: I'd read on one of my websites that Amazon was having a major sale on the Garmin Forerunner 305. Since I took up walking as a way to lose weight, I figured I'd give it a shot.

Things I particularly like about the Garmin:

1. I...

Garmin 305 -- my virtual training partner is my best friend

Date of Review:  Jun 4, 2009
The Bottom Line: My Garmin 305 is a useful if imperfect training tool. Based on the overall quality of this product, I would be willing to purchase from Garmin again.
Review: Where did you get this handy gadget?
Having done plenty of sports in my life, I've always treated running as a necessary evil. In order to play soccer or basketball, you have to be able to run a fair amount. In order to have a lot of stamina for...
