Gerber Naturalflex Pacifier: The Best Pacifier for a Breast feeding Infant.
Date of Review: Jul 31, 2008
The Bottom Line: Our Daughter loved them and easily switched from pacifier to breast to bottle. Very natural feel.
A constant debate with infants is whether or not to use a pacifier. For some families it is an absolute no-no but for others it is a must. For our family, it became a must have. I breast-fed our daughter and often she would want to nurse simply for the security of it. She would use me as a pacifier so to speak. We decided to introduce an actual pacifier to her. We had a few different ones that had been given as gifts. Some of them she did not like and some of them we did not like. We searched many stores and finally found this one at Babies-R-Us. It boasts that it is a natural motion like the nipple. It is too!! The nipple moves in and out in the baby's mouth similar to the real deal. It is very soothing to our daughter. She uses it when teething and when going to sleep or just when she's needing soothed. It does not leave a red mark on her face either like some pacifiers do when sucked on for extended periods of time. The nipple and base are clear too which looks kind of neat when your child uses it. You can see in her mouth. They are also very durable and long lasting. Our daughter is 18 months old and is still using one that we bought when she was an infant. You can hardly tell it has been used.
