Author's Review
The name of this game caught my eye. How often do you see a game named after a crime? Grand Theft Auto is now one of my favorite games I play all the time. Even though GTA2 is out, I still play GTA 1 alot.
Game Play>>
The game play is pretty good, the main set back is the whole game has an over-head view. You cannot change this at all. Otherwise, its very easy to catch on. The only hard parts are trying to steal a car and shoot right away. Driving can also be a pain for first timers. After about one hour at the latest of messing around, you will get everything perfectly.
Story Line
The story line of this game is not well laid out. Unlike in GTA2 there are gangs to do missions for, in this version there are not. In this version all you do is drive around and do jobs for one guy. This guy will tell you to either kill his wife because she has been being a pain, steeling cars, killing people, taking out buildings, killing large amounts of people or any other odd ball job you can think of. Its a fun game, buti f you get sick of the missions you can just drive around steal cars, run over little kiddies, and anything else you can think of to do in a car. We can't forget about the police roaming around town. If you kill someone, or run over someone, or even steel a car and there is a cop in the area you will get a cop on you. So watch out!
Game Secrets?
There are a few types of secrets in this game, one is "Kill Fenzies." These are little green balls you walk over, sometimes these are hidden so look around. Each "Kill Frenzie" has its own mission, some will have you kill 20 people in 3 minutes, or in a few cases there are kill frenzies in cars that are parked and hidden. In the are frenzies you must run over X amounth of people in the amounth given. If you beat these, when you exit the game in the main menu there will be some bonus missions. These missiosn are not that cool. Some are just to kill people in a given time. Or to race around a builing. The other secret is the GTA capsule. there are 25 of these, your task is to find all of them. If you do, this unlocks many more bonus levels. Those are the only secrets in the game, there are codes however. You can find those at www.happypuppy.com.
Music/sounds>>
The music in this game is awesome. They have a mixture really. Some hip hop songs, some country western. Most of the music is funny, and has homorus lyrics. You can only hear the music once you get into the car though. So its like a radio. They also have commericals, those are very funny but for mature players. The only sound outside of the car is the gun fire, people screaming when you shoot them, and people screaming out loud like "Jackas*" or "s*it head."
Overall
Overall, I would have to say this game is very sweet. It will get old after a year. But it will give you lots of entertainment for a few months. Enough time to give you till the next GTA is out.
