Author's Review
I saw the Grip Clip Cigar Holder at my local smoke shop and immediately purchased it for $11.00 plus tax. It's a handy accessory to have for the active cigar smoker and looks pretty classy in the bargain. Let me tell you all about it.
Clothespins are probably all but obsolete now because not many people hang their clothes outside these days to be dried by nature, but the Grip Clip Cigar Holder is designed on the same principles as the old-fashioned clothespin. The holder is made to attach to almost anything, including lawnmowers, beach chairs, golf bags, three-wheelers, boats--the list goes on and on, but you probably get the idea. I use my clip on my Bag Boy golf cart, and it allows me to enjoy a cigar during my round without having to lay the smoke on the ground and get grass clippings on it, or worse yet, lose it. Okay, I admit that I still lay my cigar on the ground sometimes (and occasionally lose one) but this clip has helped me to keep track of my cigars just a little bit better.
This clip is easy to attach. You grip one end and open it (like a clothespin) and attach it to the spot you want. I place it on the aluminum tubing that makes up the handle of my golf cart. Once attached, you grip the other end (again, like a clothespin) and it opens like a gator's mouth. Place your cigar within, release your grip, and the "jaws" close on your cigar snugly and securely, making it impossible to lose and allowing you to know your cigar's whereabouts at all times. The clip will attach to almost anything that's smaller than the width of its "jaws", and the other end will accomodate cigars of all sizes.
The Grip Clip Cigar Holder is made of solid wood, with a mahogany finish, so it has a pretty classy look about it. I love my clip and consider it one of the neatest accessories that I've acquired in my journey through the world of cigars.
