Buy the extended warranty!!

I bought this freezer exactly one year and one week ago. About three days after the warranty expired, so did the freezer. I didn't notice until it started to smell bad, as the power light was still on, but everything inside was already defrosted and no good. We tapped the switch and it came right back on, BUT, it was way too late for that. I called Haier and to my surprise, they are going to go ahead and honor the warranty, but I think had it been any longer, they would not have. All I can say is that if you buy this freezer, BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. Good luck.
