Read the Book, or not ...

The Bottom Line: Although reading the book made the film a disappointment, the movie was well made and Hopkins was superb in his role as Lector.

My brain in a chafing dish!

The Bottom Line: See it, but see it on a "firm" stomach. If you can stay detached enough to appreciate the special effects behind the visual gore --- it's a damn fine movie.
Review: The Pros/Cons I give about sum it all up. Unfortunately, my date had to sit in the passenger seat of my car for about 15 minutes after we left the theater. She was tossing her cookies onto the pavement of the parking lot.

The Bottom Line: Anthony Hopkins's performance is enough to sell you on this one. But I warn you, Julianne Moore is TERRIBLE.
Review: It would have really been better than the first if that fat head, Julianne Moore were not in it. She is about as animate as a manquinn. Boy, do I miss Jodie Foster after seeing her sad portrayal of Agent Starling.

The Bottom Line: It's essential to see the sequel to "The Silence of the Lambs", don't expect a Best Picture at all and you should find it quite enjoyable.
