I was SO HAPPY when UPS pulled up to my door last year and delivered my printer. I had never had a LaserJet printer before, so I was excited to see what I was getting into.
First off, I bought the printer, refurbished from Hewlett-Packard, for my home business. I print a lot of UPS labels, so a high quality printer was needed. The InkJet that I had (HP DeskJet 660Cse) didn't print the barcodes clearly, so the UPS guy had a lot of trouble scanning them. With that LaserJet 1100, I had NO PROBLEMS!! I've been using the 1100 for almost a year now. I'm still using the same toner cartridge, never had a problem with it.
This printer was extremely easy to setup. There is no power button. It just comes on when you plug it in. After you hook up the printer cable to the PC and turn the PC back on, everything goes real easy from there. It ask for the drivers as soon as you boot up. Just pop the CD in that came with the printer, then it loads everything up after that.
Pros - Easy to install, never had a problem with the print quality, extremely reliable. Paper jams have not been an issue, easy to load paper, and many printing options available.
Cons - None to speak of. I haven't had a single problem with this printer.
