Don't waste your money or time!

This copier has been horrible. We bought it for small department use inside a library and have had nothing but trouble. The scanner itself seems to have the most problems. Like other HP copier products (see reviews for the HP 610 Color Copier), we have had to send ours back several times until we had one that actually worked.

1). The scanner doesn't handle shorter items well. It gets confused and will attempt to keep scanning what should be a blank portion and it will keep the paper from coming out all the way.

2). It always cuts off the left or right edge from the image. This is extremely frustrating!

3). It is very noisy.

4). Ours is now at the point where it will copy one item and then give an error message. To fix it, we must shut it off and turn it back on.

5). Their customer service department is horrible. They are not helpful and have very hard-to-understand accents. It was extremely difficult to return our first 2 copiers before we finally received one that worked for a while. You read that correctly. We had to return the copier TWICE before getting one that worked. That should have been our first warning.

6). This copier has only lasted approximately a year, while previous copiers from different manufacturers lasted much longer.
