Author's Review
As a computer programmer, I'm very picky about my monitors, and I'm very happy with this one. After years of service from my 19" CRT, I finally had to get a new LCD. I couldn't buy a monitor online, because you can't get a feel for what the screen looks like from specs. I could have picked this monitor from across the room! It stood out from the crowd, and on closer inspection, it still held up. The one thing I look for in a monitor, after a series of cruddy ones at work, is text clarity. If the text is fuzzy on the screen, I keep walking. This monitor had the best clarity in the store, and once I got it home and hooked up the DVI (I didn't bother with the VGA), it looked as good as it did in the store.
So keep your response times, brightness and contrast ratios. If the screen looks good, get it.
