Pros: HP 612 is a really easy digital camera and takes good pictures.
Cons: Lag time. Eats batteries. (same as all mid range digital cameras)
The Bottom Line: I spent a lot of time deciding on a digital camera, and I am very happy with HP 612.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The HP 612 is a good family camera. It works as a point-and-shot for all the family tech idiots (which includes most of the population) but will do enough fancy stuff to keep the shutter savvy busy for a while. If you want to focus other than...

Pros: Easy to Use, Great LCD display, Nice photos
Cons: Battery Sucker, Delay between when you push button and picture is taken
The Bottom Line: The HP Photosmart 612 is a great, compact, very easy-to-use digital camera with enough nice features to take real quality pictures.

Review: I bought this digital camera at Circuit City because I was setting up an on-line business and needed to have some decent photos of my product. It was one of the few affordable cameras that has both digital and optical zoom. In laymen's terms that...

Pros: Good resolution on pictures, easy to figure out how to take pictures and upload.
Cons: Shutter lag time is long, flash does not always work, focus doesn't always work.
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend this camera because of the problems that I've had with mine. Do more research and get more for your money than you get with this product.

Review: I thought that buying a HP product would get me a very quality camera. I was wrong. The camera started out fine but after about two months it started randomly not working properly. The flash would not go off and the picture would be dark, or the...

Pros: Easy to use, relatively inexpensive to take quality photos
Cons: Poor shutter lag, bulky, battery hog
The Bottom Line: Decent quality images, easy to use, and good reliability at a reasonable price.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I'm not cheap. I'll deny it to the bitter end. What I am is a realist. I do not see the need to spend more money on something than is necessary. Hence my purchase of the HP 612, a camera that does what I need, and fell neatly into my price range...

Pros: Ease of use, price, picture resolution not bad
Cons: Eats Ni-Cad batteries like crazy! Use Ni-MH.
The Bottom Line: Overall, this is a good choice for an entry-level digital camera.

Review: We've owned this digital camera for about six months now, and it's been a good entry-level unit for us nonprofessional photographers.
The 612's price was attractive because the retailer had specially bundled it at the time with purchase of... |

Pros: multiple resolutions, decent picture quality, good price
Cons: battery life, easily turned on by accident, no case
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I've had this camera for a few years now, and am getting increasingly irritated at its biggest flaw: battery life. Its on/off button is very poorly placed and designed, as it easily gets bumped, turning on the camera while in backpacks, gearbags, or...

Review: With digital cameras price go down, it is the best time to buy a digital camera as manufacturers are giving out rebates and bonus accessories. With so many digital cameras, which one is good?

Review: Don't buy this camera. I had a problem with mine used only a few times (no longer under warranty). I was told by technical support that the camera was OBSOLETE and UNSERVICEABLE and then they tried to sell me a new camera. Check out the other brands...
