2008 Ridgeline is a fantastic vehicle
Pros:
Ride, seats, gas mileage, all wheel drive system, quality, storage, dual-opening tailgate, classy looks.
Cons:
Bed scratches easily, perhaps thin paint (rock chips easily), gas mileage could be better.
The Bottom Line:
Good, quiet, solid pickup truck designed for the suburbanite to haul his dirt bikes, tow his ski boat, haul the goods home from the home improvement store.

Author's Review
I've owned my 2008 Honda Ridgeline RTL in Dark Cherry Pearl color for 15 months now, and have racked up 51,000 miles. I'm a salesman and use the truck for my daily sales calls all over the state of Utah, and really don't think I could be much happier with the vehicle. It does exactly what I bought it for. It rides great, is quiet, gets decent gas mileage (consistent 18-20 MPG), can haul enough for me, can tow a reasonable weight, and has good power. I like the fact that I can get 5 adults seated quite comfortably, and I absolutely love the in-bed trunk. All my catalogs and sales aids go in there in big plastic tubs, plus my foldable garment bag can lay on top of the tubs, safely out of sight for a full week of travel. No more back seat full of stuff all week as was the case with other pickups I've owned. I sell tires and wheels, and if need be, I can get 20 passenger car tires in the back. The weight is never an issue, it's more of a space issue, as the bed isn't too long. One thing I don't like is the way the plastic material of the bed shows EVERY little scratch, because it's white under the black topcoat. Just sliding a box into the bed will scratch it. One last thing - the VTM4 All Wheel Drive system makes this truck the most awesome vehicle I've ever driven on slick roads. It just goes and goes, with its electronic brain doing all the work. Feels very safe while other traditional rear wheel drive pickups are sliding all over. I think it's even better than traditional four wheel drive (I've owned several), plus you have the advantage of not having to think about it. Is the Ridgeline a big heavy duty work truck? Probably not for a construction job, but for my type of work, or for a guy or gal that needs a pickup to haul away the Home Depot goods, it's absolutely perfect. I must admit, I haven't gotten up the guts to have a bucket load of topsoil dumped into the bed yet - the truck's just too nice - but I'm confident it can handle it when the time comes. Gotta love that Honda quality, too.
