My Floors are Clean!

The Bottom Line: Great for cleaning laminate and tile floors with ease.
I have laminate floors in my kitchen and hallway. I always felt that when I mopped they dried looking dirty and streaky. I also hate lugging a mop and pail around. So we bought this Hoover. It is designed to work on all hard floor types - wood, laminate, tile, ceramic, etc. I have used this on my laminate floors and on the tile in my bathroom.
The Hoover looks like any standard upright vacuum, and has a dry & wet setting. There are spinning brushes that can pick up dirt off a dry floor, and that will scrub the floor on the wet setting. There are 2 containers on the front. The top one holds the cleaning solution. You will get a small bottle of floor cleaning solution with the purchase of the Hoover. Once I used up the cleaning solution, I chose to use a 50/50 vinegar & water combination to clean my floors. This is safe to use in the cleaning solution canister. The bottom container holds the dirty water.
When you are cleaning the floors, you put it on the wet setting, and use the spay button to spray the solution onto the floor. You can spray as much as you need if you have an especially dirty area or spill. Use a regular vacuuming motion to run the machine over the floors. The machine will do all the work, and it will even squeegee then suck up all the water so your floors are dry right away. The dirty solution goes into the second canister and never goes back onto the floor. Seeing the dirty water in the canister is incredible. It makes me want to clean my floors every day. And if I had the time, I probably would.
The dirty water canister is easily removed to empty. You will have to rinse out the filter after use. This machine will require some minor upkeep like that, as well as rinsing off the squeegee to prevent a build up of dirt. However I find these little additional tasks much more pleasant than mopping a floor.
It has a carry handle on the back, which is good for me since I have to store it in my basement. Since the Hoover is made like a vacuum, it sounds like a vacuum.
The only problem I have is that I cannot reach areas such as next to the toilet when I cleaning the bathroom. Those areas I have to get to by hand.
