Seems good so far
Pros:
Light weight, good illumination, convenient size, good grip, various colors -silver with black, red, blue.
Cons:
Odd shape, no wrist strap, no case. May not be water-resistant.
The Bottom Line:
I like the Illuminator and would recommend it based on its performance so far.

Author's Review
The other day, I bought one of the Illuminator crank flashlights and it seems to work well, at least so far. It gives plenty of light on the higher setting, and the low setting provides useful light, at least for close objects (say, less than 6 feet or so). It's also light in weight and easy to handle and crank. However, it may or may not be water-resistant, can't really tell about that although it appears you can take the back off by removing some small screws.
I have tried it out inside and outside, and it seems to give plenty of light to walk around outside among trees and etc.
It apparently has an internal, rechargeable battery that might eventually lose function. Don't know if it could be replaced, but of course the unit may not have a sufficient mechanical life to warrant worrying about this.
I will say it is much superior to another induction flashlight I tried, one of the cylindrical ones with the internal magnet that you shake back and forth to charge the battery (there seem to be at least 2 or 3 brands of these on the market). That cylindrical one was larger, it cost twice as much, it only gave about 20 percent (?) as much light as even the lower setting on the Illuminator, and it was supposed to have an internal battery that would give immediate light if you hadn't shake charged it. Interestingly, that feature didn't work in any of several I tried (except the demo that was on the table). Needless to say, I returned it and got my money back.
Where I bought the Illuminator, they also had a version that had a radio in it, which I didn't get as it was quite noticeably heavier than the light-alone version.
The other review here comments on the blue tint to the light. I haven't really noticed that so much, but to the extent it is true, it may be useful. I think I have read about hunters using flashlights with blue filters to follow blood trails in night situations, but haven't found reference to such a light as yet. If I'm right about that, hunters will possibly find this useful.
Finally, look for the right brand (the one I bought is imported by Feldstein & Assoc. of Maumee, Ohio), as I found another set of comments someplace on the internet where some people had ordered the Illuminator and got another similar product (I think it had the word "dynamo" in its product name)as a substitute that didn't work well at all. I saw the "dynamo" version in a chain sporting goods store the other day.
