I have been using a Zip250 external drive for 6 months now. I can put all the files that I want to work on at home and the office on this drive and transport them back and forth. It is very convenient. Last week, the drive crapped out on me and took all the data with it. I thought my disk had failed, so I tried my back-up disk. The drive destroyed my back up disk as well. A quick search on Google turned up many cases of failure such as the one I experienced. It is a flaw in the design of of the drive itself, apparently. Beware of this product. Do not rely on it. Back up your data regularly on different media and do not use the drive at all if it destroys a zipdisk as it will destroy other ones too. (I also own an Iomega CD writer which has a mind of its own and works only when it feels like it.)
