THE DAY THE WORLD STOPPED BREATHING

I remember it like it was yesterday. November 22, 1963. I'd graduated from high school just the June before and there I was at my first full time job.

It was just after lunch when one of our salesmen came rushing through the front door screaming like a lunatic.
"HE'S BEEN SHOT! OH, MY GOD, HE'S BEEN SHOT!"
It would take him a few minutes to calm down enough to tell us the name of the victim:
PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY

One of the supervisors had just purchased a small portable TV. It was still in his car and he brought it in our office and turned it on. For the next hour, no one spoke, no one worked. We hardly breathed as we watched the replay in horror as the fateful, ever slow moving motorcade made its way toward the bullet that would have the entire world hold its breath.

So many years have passed since that day. There have been so many stories, so many theories, so many guesses. However, Oliver Stone went one step further. He made a movie!

The cast of characters that Oliver Stone assembled for this movie speaks for itself. The names emit their own credibility. Names like:
Kevin Costner (who plays Jim Garrison the New Orleans DA who lights a
fire in our hearts, our minds and our souls)
Kevin Bacon Tommy Lee Jones Gary Oldman
Laurie Metcalf Sissy Spacek Sally Kirkland
Edward Asner Jack Lemon Joe Pesci
Walter Matthau Donald Sutherland Martin Sheen

Not only were these actors superb in their roles, they were completely believable as the characters they displayed.

Putting aside the awesome acting, let's talk about the picture and its story.

Oliver Stone's version of the assassination of JFK is a gripping adaptation of one of the most horrific events in the lives of every American. Or is just an adaptation?

Stone raises some serious questions - some that cannot be answered and some with answers so believable it makes you want to shout:
WAKE UP! LOOK! DON'T YOU SEE IT? DON'T YOU GET IT?

I'm sure most of us have seen the picture. Most of us have drawn our own conclusions. But before we get too hasty in disregarding this a partial figment of a Hollywood director's warped imagination, consider this:

Stone asks:
Was there a conspiracy? Did Oswald act alone? Was their a cover-up by the government?

Stone answers in a way that many of us miss AFTER seeing the movie.

If you read the credits carefully, you will note that
EVERY PERSON WHO MIGHT HAVE BEEN A POTENTIAL WITNESS IS DEAD! MOSTLY KILLED IN VIOLENT "ACCIDENTS". IN ADDITION, DOROTH KILLGALEN, FAMOUS AUTHOR AND JOURNALIST WAS FOUND DEAD IN HER MANHATTAN APARTMENT.

(Being curious, I just had to check her death on the Internet. This is what I found: Dorothy Killgalen was "found dead in bed from a lethal overdose" just two days AFTER interviewing Jack Ruby. She had already told her publicist that she had enough evidence to blow the investigation WIDE OPEN. Yet, upon finding her body, all of her notes were GONE! Another thing, she was on her way out and fully dressed. She had one drink still sitting on her nightstand. That drink contained THREE lethal doses of THREE different drugs and yet NO CAPSULES WERE FOUND ANYWHERE IN HER APARTMENT!)
This is MY question:
If she was on her way out to a meeting, why would she have committed suicide?
