Quite pleased with my first pair of noise cancelers...

I purchased these back in September to help with my commute to work on the train. I was previously using ear buds and had difficulty hearing movies play on my media player even at full volume.

So I decided to look into over the ear headphones, and then seguewayed to noise canceling headphones. At first I was a bit disappointed in the price of 'good' models. Then I found these at a pretty decent price ($40) and a positive review online. I took a shot on them and couldn't be happier. They block at most 'white' noise, such as a train operating in the background, or my other favorite use, computer servers running their noisy fans. You can still hear normal voice conversations (although the over the ear design muffles that a bit), and other unpredictable noises, but as I understand noise canceling, that's what it is designed to do. However, I can now hear my movies (better) at a lower volume on my train commute and haven't gone back to the ear buds since.

One (and only one) problem I have noticed is that they seem to pick up interference from cell phones from time to time. I have heard the same interference on other audio devices, so not too surprised and it may not be the fault of the headphones themselves (or maybe they don't have good enough shielding?) Anyway, thought it was worth noting.
