Better than most.

Overall, I like the design and ease of use of this camera.
Best was the image quality and audio inputs/control/monitoring ability. The XLR inputs are in an odd position, though. Viewfinder and LCD image clarity are better than most.

But for those of us who shoot on a tripod, smooth zooming is difficult without the use of an external zoom controller. JVC made a huge error in not building in a LANC socket which a controller plugs into.

Also, when using the Steamcorder network pack and a tripod, the plastic socket on the network pack is just begging to be stripped or broken. JVC should offer a re-fit with a metal tripod socket sleeve.
