Green Envy

I have to admit, I didn't read this book expecting something great. As I turned the pages, I found myself drawn deeper into the lives of the two main characters and the people around them.
This book, about two siblings whose parents loved one more then the other, is a very touching and nicely written piece. This book really gets you to start thinking, about all sorts of thinks, not the least of them your childhood.
Each chapter is well-written and very real. Jacob Have I Loved deals with real issues and emotions, envy, grief, and longing, to name but a few. I think this book is a very enjoyable read and would recommend it to those who enjoy deeper, emotional books.
