2002 Jeep Wrangler X Apex
Pros:
Good mileage for a 4x4 (if you get the right options). FUN!
Cons:
Soft top a tad noisy still. CD player skips on bumps.
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this to anyone, it is a great ride.

Author's Review
Well, this is my first jeep, and wow, I love this thing. I am the kinda guy who likes his toys still, and this is a great toy, and still practical. Many complain about the gas mileage, but I have no problems. I average about 20 mpg, which is great for a 4x4. I made sure to get the 3:07 rear end with the inline 6 cyl. This gives you great power and efficiency. Those experiencing poor mileage probably have the larger rear end (not sure about the ratio), and an automatic. I have the Limited Apex edition also which is pretty sweet. It has vinyl seats that are normally only found in the sebring convertables, and these ar very comfortable. A big bonus is that the Apex comes with the 7 speaker sound system (you usually have to get a sport or more exp for this). Anyway, my only beef is that the factory CD player will skip if you so much as sneeze on it! Great for offroad, towing, racing (not that I would do that, haha)
