I detest this range

I just replaced this range having only used it for a year and sold it on craigslist which I felt guilty doing because it is soooo awful. Everything worked as it was supposed to (according to the three Jenn Air technicians who came out to look it over at various times during the past year) but it's just a very low performance unit. The oven does not heat evenly. Convection seems a bit of a joke as the fan doesn't really do much to circulate the air. The unit takes a very long time to preheat (10-15 minutes to get to 350 degrees) and the heat is not accurate - my oven thermometer indicates a discrepancy of 25-35 degrees. The burners are bad news too. Although they heat and cool quickly, they never get truly HOT like a gas range does. I guess simmering is not a problem but caramelizing is and forget wok cooking. Even with a flat bottomed heat conducting wok there is no way to get the intense heat needed to pull off quality Asian style fare. The downdraft unit it the final disappointment. It's my impression that most people purchase this range because they require downdraft, well, I can tell you that on this unit you might as well just leave a nearby window open and use a household fan because the downdraft doesn't suck much air and pulls NO steam. Avoid this range.
