Another Great Classic Character Brought Back And Out To A Whole New Level

This has got to be the best of the series! Most fourth parts do not come anywhere near it, but this is one of the very few, if not the only exception! This also came out over twenty years after the last "Rambo" film before this one to make it even more unexpected for this to be the best ever, but it still is. I, personally, was not nearly as surprised as a lot of people were with how great this sequel turned out with how great "Rocky Balboa" turned out fifteen years after the last sequel before that one. With two sequels to two series in a row, Sylvester Stallone has proven that he can still do the unexpected.

This sequel takes place out near Thailand, where an evil dictator raids the small villages of Burma to draft their boys into his army, telling the villagers that his men will destroy the village if their boys do not join them, only to burn and destroy the villages anyway. The soldiers then kidnap a group of missionaries who are out there on a humanitarian effort to hold them as prisoners. The head of the organization the missionaries work for finds John Rambo in his shack out near Thailand after it became obvious that something had happened to them, wanting him to help find and rescue them. Not only does Rambo and the group of men aiding him have to take on that evil dictator and his dangerous powerful army, but it also turns out to be in the midst of a civil war. They have to travel unseen through the lakes and through the jungle to find the missionaries, which is only the beginning of their problems when they end up in the middle of the civil war, having to fight it themselves just to survive before they can even think about anything else.

This film really delivers a great, realistic, lively, and intense view and feel of what it is like to be out in the middle of a war when on a dangerous rescue mission. The action and suspense will keep anybody at the edge of their seat throughout the whole film. The graphics, special effects, and sound effects are so awesome and lively; you will feel as if you are in the middle of the action. The technology they have for movies these days is so amazing, you do not always need 3D glasses to literally feel as if you are actually in the movie anymore, with this film being a very great and very strong example of that. It looks and feels as if you are in the jungles, paddling through the lakes, hiding from the evil dictator's army, in the middle of all the fighting and shooting scenes, etc.

Sylvester Stallone has really gone all out in this sequel as his famous classic character, John Rambo, has been brought back and out to a whole new level that he has never been at before. Fred Topel of Canmag.com was not lying when he called this sequel "the most intense 'Rambo' yet". Neither was Joblo.com when they commented, "Stallone proves once again why he is a legend!"
