For What Occasion?

Red Label is a decent ordinary every-day scotch. (Well, not every day!) Though, it's my favorite in it's class it doesn't even compare to the much more expensive old single malts. I recently had a 30 year old Glenmorangie that gave me some perspective. It was exquisite.

For a few dollars more than you'd pay for the Red Label you can move into the Black Label, Glen Livit or Chevas catagory. These are better, though not that dramatically so.

As with all things pertaining to the palate, it depends on the occasion. The really special events require a better Scotch.
