Before I could not see at night...

I am blind as a bat without my glasses or contact lenses. I cannot even see my alarm clock or my daughter's face without having her an inch away from me. Everything is so blurry that I do not recognize people. I have worn glasses since I was 10 years old and I have worn contact lenses regularly for about 14 years. When I was a teenager, I remember begging for contacts and was told no until my 17th birthday. Of course back then, hard contacts were usually bought. I had the hardest time getting them in, taking them out, and cleaning them. So I went back to glasses for a while. A friend was telling me about soft contact lenses and how she could not even feel them, that she would forget about wearing the contacts. This sounded perfect so I made an appt and went in to get some. Since then, I have worn soft contact lenses. Brands have never been that important to me, comfort really is.

Since having a child, long wearing times come into play too. I was introduced to overnight soft contact lenses when I complained to my doctor that I could not see my child in the middle of the night and my glasses were not cutting it. My glasses had/have started making me feel woozy and sick. So I rarely wear my glasses any more, unless I have the rare eye infection and just cannot put my contacts in. I have been wearing different brands of overnight contact lenses for almost 6 years.

When we moved here, the local doctor did not have my high power prescription in stock of overnight contact lenses. He said it would take a few weeks to get them in and asked if I wanted to try a new brand out. I had complained to him about my eyes feeling tired. I was told that since I wear my contact lenses excessively and never give my eyes time to rest, I needed contact lenses that would allow more oxygen to get to my eyes. At first I disliked Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contact lenses very much. This was the first time I felt as if my contact lenses were going to fall out!! They were slipping all over the place! I went back in to the office and the doctor examined my eyes with the contacts in. He said that I needed a smaller pair. So got that worked out...after receiving a new sample pair in the correct size, the contacts went in easily, stayed in, my eyes did not feel tired, nor as dry as they sometimes would get with other contacts. Even when I woke up the next morning, the contacts still felt great, my eyes were not dry as the desert nor red.

Many doctors over the years have suggested trying new brands to get more oxygen to my eyes but I have never liked any of the newer brands out. They just did not feel comfortable in my eyes. Some felt thick to me. Some made my eyes really dry and red all of the time. Of course the prescription in the Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contacts was my prescription so I could see really well with them too.

Nowadays before a doctor will sell you a box of contacts, he will give you a sample pair to try out. This saves you money! If those contacts do not work out or bother your eyes, he will give you a different type to try. Different places will have different prices on contacts. Sometimes even Walmarts in the same city will have different prices!

What is so good about THIS product

My eyes do not feel dry and irritated, I do not feel these contacts in my eyes even of the early mornings. Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys reduces my need for rewetting drops as my eyes feel fine! I have had no issues with these contacts even when wearing them for long periods. I have been wearing this brand of contact lenses for well over a year now.

What is so unique about this product?

My eyes do not feel tired and dry after wearing these contacts overnight. Other contacts would dry my eyes out especially of the morning, my eyes would feel itchy, dry, and red. They keep eyes moist. Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contacts allows more oxygen to get to my eyes! Has UV blocking.

Does this product really work?

Yes, I would not go back to the other brands of contacts. Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contacts works for my eyes, the way I need them to. Overnight, 2 day constant wear, no sleep, these contacts keep my eyes moist, comfortable, and my vision is clear. I have no problems with them ripping, tearing apart, drying out. Since I do use them as overnight stay in contacts, I throw them away after 2 weeks as my doctor directed.

What does this product look like?

I think that most contacts look the same. They do come in a blue and white box with a contact lens in water on the front. These are disposable contacts. As doctor directed use--mine has me wearing them for 2 weeks and then disposing of them. You can tell when they are inside out as the contacts will not curve up right on your finger. These contact lenses are lightly tinted so you can see them easier- you will not be able to see the tint once the lenses are in.

There has to be some bad to this product, right?

None that I can find! Except the price. These cost me $21.99 per box of 6 which means 3 pair.

What do you like about this product?

Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contacts do not hurt or dry out my eyes. I have no issues with using them for extended periods and overnight. The contacts feel comfortable in my eyes. I like that I can wear them overnight and for 2 weeks which does cut down the cost of contact lenses.

Final verdict:

Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys contact lenses help me in my life by not drying out my eyes. I can leave them in for long periods and have no trouble. It is one less thing to worry about. I can now see at night time without worrying about finding my glasses or putting in my contact lenses. I have found no other contact lenses that keep my eyes so moist. I am very happy with this product.
