kenmore microwave 66222 good or bad?

The Bottom Line: If you have patience to exchange it if a minor or major defect occurs it is a good microwave.
I wanted to review this microwave as we've had three now.
Thing is I like the microwave it does a great job for the size and price and fits very nicely on counter top.
That said...we've had a few speed bumps ahem....
The first one the door was very lose it rattled and you could practically see in the cavity cracks while it was cooking. We exchanged it.
The next one was whisper quiet, door much better and we thought we found a keeper...well after five weeks we noticed a smell of hot electrical odor and followed the odor to our new microwave...the whole right side where all the components sit was very very warm to touch and it hadnt been used in hours.
We exchanged ... (what can I say we are hopeful LOL)
Well this one runs great as far as cooking the door is tight and snug best of all but well it rattles like crazy from the right side and is loud.
It doesnt seem to get hot after use like the last one.
I dont know if its a keeper the noise may deter us as the neighbors may hear it radiating thru' counter (apartment).
I want to like it, I like the unit its nice looking nice size and works great so to speak. Was hard to find one the size we require let alone one we liked the look of.
Just wanted everyone to know. Incidentally I searched up a website by inquiring "who makes kenmore microwaves" that gives the prefix numbers of their products...its many companies and ours was one Id not of thought good but actually rates third on consumer reports as good.
This model is said on the site to be made by : LG (goldstar).
The model I own looks diff' then photo here, its white the handle is molded to unit front too.
Make your own choice ultimately but it has excellent potential I think it just depends on luck of the pull from the warehouse after the three, I find each one has different quality. (my durability rating is still not sure as its new)
Update 10/17/07 We returned the final one and bought a GE jes1142 wd we are very happy with it the quality diff is ovbvious! We purchased it elsewhere.
