Author's Review
As my last thumb finally bit the dust after serious abuse it was time to move on.
This flash drive (commonly known as a thumb drive, due to their small size, about the size of a thumb conveniently) is nice because it is not bulky and is very light.
It has a nice aesthetic look to it in the sense that it uses light colors and doesn't have any awkward shapes or fold up as some of the new flash drives do.
The drive requires absolutely no software to get it going. Most flash drives do not in the first place, but this one definitely does not. It works with windows vista and windows xp. You simply plug it into a USB port on your computer, give it long enough for your computer to recognize it and the folder will either pop up on the screen, or you can go to "my computer" and it is listed as a "removable disk" or "kingston" drive.
The data transfer speed is quite convenient as well (the rate at which you can add files to it, delete them, or take them off the drive and put them on your computer) and is pretty quick.
The drive even sports a nice little handy clip on the end if you want to add it to your keychain and carry it with you at all times (which is a good thing to do, as it deters people from swiping it off your desk and making them easy targets in the office or at school).
Overall for the price of $20 (which is what I paid for it new, however, if you can find it cheaper elsewhere, go for it!) for 1gb of memory (equal to 694 floppy disks, no joke) in a small, convenient, light weight flash drive you can't beat it. All in something the size of your thumb. Media files, your office work, music, or just pictures and anything else you want to carry with you or back up. A handy device to have around.
I do not have any cons as this flash drive has not let me down, has been quick, easy, simple, clean, sleek and wonderful. I cannot say I've used it with older computers such as windows 98, so as to the support of those, I can only vouch for Windows XP and Windows Vista as to how well it works.
