Product Review

handy camera

by   skyip03 ,   Apr 7, 2008

Pros:  Light weight, ease of use. Reasonably good pictures.

Cons:  A bit slow in starting up, changing modes and writing to SD card.

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

Author's Review

The camera is lighter and the pictures are sharper than my old DX 6440 but it does not have the wider angle of the old camera. It also requires more efforts in getting good results for indoor shooting. I tried various settings; auto is not the best for indoors. SCN (in back-light mode) seems to work quite well; alternatively, one could use M mode with F2.8, 1/20 sec., ISO200 and AF to get similar results. Many other modes like high ISO and anti-shake could be disappointing for indoors. ISO above 200 gives noticeably grainy pictures. I like its physical design and simplicity of use, almost identical to my old Kodak camera.
