Author's Review
I had just broken one of my favorite pair of headphones by skullcandy, and I was set on getting a new pair, but due to transportation issues I had no choice but shop at Wal-Mart and look for a new set of headphones. Looking through the aisle where they kept their headphones, all I could see were the brand names: Sony, Philips, Panasonic, JVC, Koss, ect. The list goes on from there and from whatever design they decided would be a new hit or an unknown failure. Thats when I stuck to what I knew, stick with the headphones that go into the ear(earbuds), maybe then I would be able to find the right set of buds. After about a few minutes of scavenging through the aisle I found what could be my new potential headphones the Koss KEB24b Consumer Headphones.
Price
The Koss KEB24b Consumer Headphones can run up too 24.99 and as cheep as 19.86. (not including online stores). These did cost me more than my last pair of headphones, but when you really need to listen to music to keep you sane like myself you would pay almost anything, but with pricing I am a strong believer of you get what you pay for and in this case you get a great set of new headphones.
Sound
The quality of sound you get is great. Depending on what kind of mp3 you have the sound may vary a little but for the most part you should get about the same range of sound. With a frequency of about 15-20,000 Hz. Also these headphones are designed to go into the ear giving you a better sound quality that your looking for. Since they go into the ear they also cancel out the sound pretty well.
Cord
The Koss KEB24b Consumer Headphones give you about a four foot cord to work with. So when your walking around listing to your mp3 player the cord wont be pulling on your ear buds and taking them off. The cord is designed a bit different than most headphones. Instead of having them split into a Y shape with both sides being at equal length. Rather they dont give you the option of how long you want your cord. They already have it set so the cords go from left to right. The left ears headphone cord is the shortest about 6 in. The right ears headphone cord is meant to wrap around the back of your neck to the right ear. The cord for the right ear is about 18 inches in length. This way you wont have the problem of finding them when you want to put them down and listen to the real world for awhile. The one draw back to the cord is that the right ears cord is to long.
Extras
Like most ear bud designs out there the Koss KEB24b Consumer Headphones gives you three sets of buds small, medium, and large. Also the Koss KEB24b Consumer Headphones comes in several different colors. The bonus to all this is lifetime warranty with no questions asked! thats right life time, and no questions. You could rip out the cord from the plug and still get a new pair, unlike my last pair where that was the only factor they wouldnt cover.
Finally
Again if your not afraid to spend a few more dollars for the Koss KEB24b Consumer Headphones, you get great sound, a descent sized cord, and a great warranty.
