A disaster--broken in 6 weeks with poor factory service

Six weeks after we bought this dryer it started making a horrible grinding noise. The motor needs to be replaced. They can't seem to get their act together to get the part and get it installed. We still do not have a confirmed appointment to finish the repair. Repeated promises to call back and/or to return on specific days have been broken by their factory service outlet (American Repair Specialists, which may be the most difficult and disorganized factory service operation I have ever dealt with).

This just should not happen with an expensive unit from a major brand name. I doubt we will ever buy any LG appliance again.
