LG for my first front loader: so far so good

I bought this unit because I wanted a new front loader and this particular model seemed to be one of the more simple front loaders. It uses much less water than my old top loader and my utility company even gave me a rebate for its purchase.
I was a little hesitant at first because I read that some front loaders do not wash the clothes as well as top loaders. I have not experienced that in the 9 months that I have owned the product. I also have somewhat hard water and have had no problems making suds or fully rinsing the clothes. The drum holds a lot of clothes...even my bedspread.
There is a water filter on the bottom front that needs to be emptied. I have done this once so far and haven't seen a need to do more often than 2 or 3 times a year. I leave the door open to dry the drum after a wash but then close it once it's dry. Not ideal...but not a big deal either. Wouldn't stop me from buying again. Also...the wash cycle is much longer than my top loader but now it just matches the dryer so that isn't a problem.
There may be better front loaders out there, but for the money I have enjoyed my purchase.
