The Bottom Line: If you can find a better laser printer at a lesser price, go for it. Right now, this is simply the best inexpensive laser printer on the market.

The Bottom Line: If you need a laser printer at very low cost. The HP 1020 is the best bang for the buck.

Great for printing checks

Review: Aside from being compact & 15ppm fast, the Hp 1020 printer does a great job of printing checks and deposit slips when used with any checkmaking software and a MICR toner cartridge from checksnet.

Great Value for Small Office

Best value in laser printers

The Bottom Line: While duplexing can be an issue, the print quality, reliability, and low cost of operation make this printer a great buy.
Review: This printer is absolutely fantastic! I've been using it for about a year now without any problem. If you need a quick, cheap, high quality laser printer to do the basics, this is the printer for you!

You can refill the toner fairly easily...

Hp LaserJet 1020, basic laser no nonsense printing
