Not quite the revolution I expect
Pros:
Great graphics, new level design makes playing more easier than the original
Cons:
Pretty much the same as the original lemmings
The Bottom Line:
If you've played the original lemmings... OH NO! This game is nothing new for you. Buy Lemmings 3d instead, that's fun.

Author's Review
I remember back in the days of my childhood, I became addicted to one of my favorite puzzle games of all time, Lemmings. The little critters with blue robes and green wigs walking in a straight line, hoping that somebody from the other side will guide them to their home. Through the many levels, there were dangers in every corner, and just pure stupidity of the simple lemming kind.
After many beaten down franchise games, including Lemmings 3d,Lemmings Tribes, and Lemmings Paintball the Lemmings have sat back and relaxed in their new found home running around as mindless zombies carrying little gems for mining. It seemed like it moronic critters have finally had it good, until the weasels came along. For entertainment, they rounded up the lemmings, and built hard puzzles for them to go through. Can they survive? Its up to you! Thus, begins Lemmings: Revolution
Despite the fact that this Lemmings game actually has a PLOT, I cant say much for it. If you ever played any of the Lemmings games of the original puzzle game, youd know that at the start of every level, a bunch of lemmings will pour out of a box in the middle of the level. Your objective is to get them home, where in the previous lemming games, there was a door leading to a natural world
in this game is a Great Escape style hot air balloon. For them to survive and reach the balloon, they are required to avoid traps and pitfalls, smash, bash, blow up, build, block, climb, umbrella, nuke, dig, and mine to the balloon! In order to do this, they need you, their fearless leader from your comfortable PC, to command them to do stuff, as they mindlessly travel in straight lines in packs, unaware of the traps around them (unless of course, you do something about it). The level is designed like a revolving cylinder instead of one big 2d level, in that case, you can rotate the level around, making it much more easier to handle than the original Lemmings game.
There are three different types of lemmings in the game (unfortunately, none of them have intelligence whatsoever). These types are distuiguished by colors. One is the normal blue lemming, which is not able to do anything but to walk and do what you want them to do
wether it is to build a ladder, or to drown in a pool of acid. Another is the white lemmings, who are the ones with the power to swim. They can cross water. The other is the green, the ones able to cross acid. With these lemmings as your mindless, soldiers, you must lead them to freedom!
Besides the fact of the three different types of lemmings, and the revolving level, there is almost nothing different between the original and Lemmings Revolution. The only other difference is the fact that Lemmings Revolution has no blood in it (which is sortve a negative
I dont know
I like seeing Lemmings slaughter in a bloody way) and that you can have the lemmings use teleports in the level to place them in different locations and to teleport them to the ceiling so they are able to walk on it. Other than that, its just an expansion pak to the original, not really anything there.
The puzzles become quite challenging, and this game includes about 100 of these levels (however 20 of these levels are just tutorials). If this game had more originality like Lemmings 3d, had, maybe this wouldve been more fun to play, of course, since I played the original
I probably have had the experience a leader of lemmings can do. For people thatve never played the original in their life, I recommend buying this game, its fun and addictive
and frustratingly challenging. But if you arent good at puzzles, just buy the game just for the heck of killing
