Headlight problem had me running out of the showroom
Pros:
Fast, handles well, comfy, sporty.
Cons:
Serious headlight problems, cramped back seat.
The Bottom Line:
I loved this car, but drive alot out in the boondocks where there are few streetlights, and don't want to turn on brights to see.

Author's Review
I loved driving this car, it's sporty, fast, sexy, etc... but decided not to buy it based on other reviews I read on other websites concerning the headlights. Apparently there's this weird problem with the headlight not illuminating enough when on deserted dark roads. Consumer reports rates it the very lowest on the headlights. Apparently they're not aimed high enough unless you turn on the brights. I went back to the Lexus dealership and asked about this. They said the situation is that the headlights have to have an object to focus on or something like that. The salesman assured me it wasn't a problem, and that made me pretty nervous that they were willing to sell me something unsafe, didn't know about the Consumer Reports rating on the headlights, and were so quick to want to gloss over it. Anyways, I ended up not buying this car because of the headlight problem, and wanted to warn others about it because I suspect it's dangerous if you drive alot on deserted roads that are not well lit. I'm looking now at the Toyota Avalon which is redesigned for 2006 and is very, very nice with no safety issues I know of.
It irks me that Toyota is willing to sell this product this way and isn't up front about the problem, and doesn't appear to have a fix for it according to what I've read and what they told me at the dealership.
