2006 Lexus GS

Having owned a 2001 GS 300 before I can compare the two and tell you what I feel are improvements with this new model. I loved my old Lexus, the new one has a firmer ride that I don't like as much. Yes the handling is better but I don't like to feel bumps at all. My car came with the optional run flat tires so that could be another reason for the firmer ride. But it is always super smooth and responsive. One thing the older model had that I miss on this one was a lap cooling duct on the AC. It was under the steering wheel and was great on hot days blowing air on your legs. I also dont like the optional rain sensing windshield wipers. They have a mind of their own. Give me intermitent wipers anyday!! I do love the style , mainly the side profile stance. It reminds me of the new Mercedes CLS. But having owned this car for 6 months now, it is really a great car to drive and own.
