I have had a lot of different systems from really high end to the worst and I wanted something to fill in the lows on my scion xb without taking up much space so I went in search of a sub and box and after my third car stereo shop I stoped at Best Buy after checking all there high end gear my 17 year old son said Dad you did not check that one, he pionted at a $32.00 sub by Dynex (I guess it is a Best Buy label) in a cheap Qlogic box that was $69.00 he turned it on and I said there is something else on or another system all together. After some head scratching and checking it all out I could not belive this box and speaker for under $110.00 was the best I could find so I grabed it really excited that the best was also the cheapest (never happens to me). So grinning all the way home I went to put it all together and I pulled out the 140w alpine amp and snap, it poped and smoked so now I needed a amp so after looking around again because I was not even looking at amps because I had one,so I thought after finding all huge power amps I stopped in at wallmart and I decided to see if they had any audio equipment and there was this little jewel I looked at the specs. I was not happy about the signal to noise spec but it is made by fosgate and having lots of fosgate equipment I figured it would be underrated. It had high level input so I did not need to hook up my converter and came with a level adjustment that mounts under dash also built in active xover for low, high or all and it was CEA 2006 cert. so I said what the heck. Looked at the price and once again the cheapest one $99.00, only because I did not want any more power I just wanted a little fill in in the bass department. Took it home and in 1 hr. had it hooked up. turned everything to minimum settings on stock deck gain and remote gain. turned on the radio and adjusted main gain and left it. I turned it up and holly cow this one 10" on this amp bridged with low pass set about 70hz this thing out pounds my old fosgate 300rms running 2 punch 12's needles to say I am really impressed really clean power linear and tight this is the best setup I have had for under $600.00 and it is also the cheapest huh whodathunk
