Not good

I previously used the 4 port Linksys dsl router with great results; after many years constant use, the power supply started to buzz and got too hot (melted it's housing), so I decided to upgrade to the 8 port version. Initially it hooked up easily and setup was very familiar and went fine. However, UT2004 performance was bad, and I noticed ping'ing yahoo resulted in wildly varying results and some packet loss.

I returned and bought a netgear - no problems

This is ok for basic network, but if you need rock steady performance, it doesn't hold up. Maybe I just had a bad unit, but after reading reviews finding the same thing I did, I don't think so.
