Very nice little device

I bought this switch so I could run one machine and keep it in "good shape" while having another machine to experiment with & not lose files.

So far, so good. Switching between machines is simple and it does exactly what I want with 2 minor exceptions.

1) my trackball is a USB device and I used an adapter. It is now treated as a wheel mouse & I lost one of the scrolling options. It was an option I used, sometimes, but I can live without it.

2) my older machine runs WinME. Since it's a somewhat unstable OS, when it locks up, I need to restart in safemode. I couldn't get it to start in safemode. I kept getting a keyboard error.

I worked around the error by disconnecting the KVM switch and hooking everything up to the WinME machine directly.

This worked, but was a pain in the butt!
Having said that, if I wasn't running an unstable OS, I wouldn't have had that problem.

So... I DO recommend this little guy as a handy little device.
