A good middleweight!

Well, I`ve had the stick for about a week now. I was a bit suspect of the cordless element because I had nightmares with a mouse version I tried.

But I`ve been pleasantly surprised. I`ve had absolutely no trouble with it at all. I use it to fly IL2/FB, and yes, before you start you need to `wake up` the stick. But it`s easy, just press one button on the stick and it`s ready. After that it never sleeps unless you leave it. If you do leave it (say on Auto), when you return just press one button- it`s ready!

The blinking light is absolutely no problem, just pop a booklet, piece of paper to hide it- still works. The light is useful to confirm a connection, I guess, but I`ve not needed it yet.

The handle feels good, all buttons accessible. I was surprised (and happy) to find a `secret` thumb button that`s flush with the stick, perfect for my settings. I have a 3 year old Logitech Wingman 3D and the extra buttons on the 2.4 are a welcome addition.

OK, the negatives:
The throttle position for me is bad, it should be more to the left for access (I actually don`t use it. I swapped throttle to the Mouse-new discovery! Even better).

Not a fan of the silver, guess it can`t be helped. A black all over would be nicer IMHO.

It`s a tad too light compared to my previous Wingman. I did like the rugged weight of the Wingman 3D. Also the rearward base buttons (7 & 8) are alittle too close together.

Overall construction feels slightly weaker than I`m used to.

But I`m keeping the stick, if it had failed me even once by now in just ONE dogfight online due to the cordless not detecting or switching off that would have condemned it for me. But it hasn`t, so I give it a THUMBS UP!
