Introduction
The Logitech Dual Action Controller is one of the latest versions of controllers that mimics the Playstation 2 controller. I don't know why so many PC controllers mimic the Playstation 2. None I have seen mimic the XBOX Controller S, which I actually prefer. This controller performs well with all types of games, and comes out on top. The Dual Action Game Pad from Logitech is one of their cheapest controllers, but you get what you pay for here.


Analysis
This controller the same as the PS2 controller, except no rumble feature. He controller is well built and has been durable so far. It contains a simple USB port that is instantly recognizable to users of Windows XP. The installation is easy and you will be up and running in no time. The software included in the package is called Logitech Profiler software. This program contains the drivers for the controller, configuration, and ability to load game profiles. Game profiles are basically configurations of games saved on a file. You can download these game profiles off the Internet. You will need these game profiles in order to best configure the game. The program also comes with a feature that automatically searches for games on your system. Some games allow for configuration while other games do not. On the game that don't, you will have to download the game profile.

This controller is cheap, only $19.99 and there is a current promotion if you buy a 2004 EA sports game, you can get the controller for only $9.99. The controls are just like the PS2, and great. This is a very reliable controller for me so far, I have had no problems with it.

Next, I will discuss the feel of the Dual Action. I honestly cannot tell the difference between this controller and the PS2 one. The buttons are all placed perfectly and none get in your way. None of the buttons have stuck so far and the analog controls are holding up strong. They are very sensitive, which is good.

This controller is best for action games, like Max Payne 2 and Dead to Rights. It is ok with FPS, but I would still lean toward the keyboard for those. Flying games are frustrating on any controller, so I would suggest a joystick.

The downside to all this goodness is no rumble pad support
:( If it did rumble, I would give this controller a 5 out of 5. This is the only big drawback of the controller.

Final Recommendation
Overall, great controller for the price. I didn't like the feel of the wingman series or other brands, like neko airflow or seiko brands. This is the best in my opinion. The downside to this controller is that it has no rumble feature. All in all, I would recommend this controller to the average gamer. This is the best controller for the price. The buttons are all positioned perfectly. The software is great also. For you elite gamers out there, check out the Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumble Pad. For those unwilling to spend more than $20 on a controller, this is your best bet.
