Fun but Fragile
Date of Review: Mar 21, 2004
The Bottom Line: FRAGILE as heck and not good without internet for PS2. But the fun with the internet is just overwhelming
I got Socom 2 for christmas so i said whats socom without a headset. So i went to buy one and got one. I got home and but it on and it was da bomb.
It was extremely fun to talk to people while playing games. It gives the game a sense of realism wether it be socom or madden. One of the main things is you must go on the internet to use this for the full good fun experience.
If you dont have internet access with a PS2 this headset is practicly trash. If you have internet it is like the best thing ever. The only game I know of that has the headset without the internet is Socom 2. Yet I still only know of about 9 or 10 games that use headsets for the internet or maybe even less.
Just the fact that your talking to people through a videogame is awesome. You can shove your victory into your opponents faces. Using the headset is alot easier then using the in-game keyboard they usualy make you use if you dont have the head-set.
But there are some bad things. This is the most fragile piece of videogaming technology i have ever seen or used. They break very very very easily. Treat your headset like it is God. If it falls off a table or a couch say bye-bye to your headset. I have already gone through 2 headsets and im on my third. I cannot stress enough how fragile this headset is.
