Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel Mouse

The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this product. It seems to work only a few months before going belly up.
I purchased this mouse from an on-line distributor about six months ago to use with my laptop. In the beginning, I was extremely pleased with this product, expect for the very long receiver cord. I have used this type of wheel mouse for years both at work and at home and always loved the comfortable feel of this type of wheel mouse. All of a sudden, the mouse just stopped working. I replaced the battery and still nothing. I even went as far as to unload the software, reboot, and reinstall the software. I decided to try Logitech customer service after checking their website and finding out that the lifetime and warranty of this mouse was supposed to be five years (not five months). I promptly e-mailed their customer support and within a few hours, I received a reply. They concluded that I had a defective mouse and agreed to either reimburse me or send me a replacement. What a pleasant surprise!! I just think that this particular wireless mouse has an overall generic problem. There is no question that Logitech makes great products and as long as they are willing to stand behind them, I will continue to purchase them. This particular mouse just happens to be a bad product.
