WHY LOGITECH?
I've bought several Logitech products in the past & have had
good service with them. They've lasted for quite some time, and they are all still in use. I have not even had so much as one problem with their products!!
Now, I've previously just owned a Microsoft mouse. It worked for at least a year & a half. But it had just one major problem. It had a ball. As you know, a ball in a mouse can very easily pick up dirt & dust, carrying it well inside, contaminating the unit's inner workings & contact points, destroying them & rendering the mouse helpless. Like a dermatophite or a disease!!

Having gotten started in the field of making & offering home computer accessories & hardware several years ago, Logitech remains one of the better companies around!
WHAT MAKES THE MX 310 SO UNIQUE?
The Logitech MX 310 Optical Mouse is unigue in that it eliminates one of the #1 causes of mouse failure - dirt, dust & grime getting inside to corrupt & destroy it's inner workings!
That's because, unlike other ordinary mice, this particular
one has no ball. Having no ball means that there is no chance at all of any dirt or dust being picked up from the mouse pad & being transfered from the ball to the interior
contact points!
Instead, it uses what's called an optical format, which means that a red LED ( light emitting diode ) senses & detects the surface that the mouse is on & when the mouse itself is moved, the point on your desktop monitor will respond also. Much faster than with ordinary mice!
HOW GOOD DOES IT WORK? DO YOU LIKE THE MANY FEATURES THAT IT HAS?
Yes! I like the feel of the mouse in my hand! The control buttons seem to be very well-placed. The contoured ergonomic-type spots on the sides for my thumb & finger(s)
are excellent! The unigue style & color ( black & gray ) lends great elegance to the unit!
It works great!! Not only that. A much better response is
obtained as this mouse seems to just glide across the surface it's used on! In fact, you don't even have to use a mouse pad if you don't want to!!

I did not install the software, since most mice work just as well without it. But at least I'll keep it handy just in case I might run into a problem & may need it someday for future references.
