Short Lifespan

Review: I watch approximately 5-6 films a week. At first, this machine did everything I needed it to - it played the film. There were some unusual glitches that other reviewers mentioned regarding subtitles, but that didn't disturb my enjoyment of the film...

Doesn't work

Review: Bought it. Brought it home. Took it out of the box. Hooked it up. Put a DVD from a rental place into it. Machine spit it out. Put another DVD into it. Machine spit it out. Tried to close the DVD tray without a DVD in it and it opened right back up...

Absolute Junk

Review: I bought one of these over Christmas. Got it for $25 or so.

Good deal? Not when it wont even turn on out of the box. Push on, the light comes on 3 times then drops out.

Terrible product!!!

Review: This broke within 13 days (and 5 DVD's) of when I purchased it anew. The retailer exchanged it for another, which seems to make bizarre static noises louder than the audio of the actual DVD. It seems to work again (temporarily) when I shut it off...

The risk may be worth it!

The Bottom Line: I recommend it mainly because of price. The picture is nice. I feel the risk is well worth the possible reward, which is a working DVD player (hopefully 3 years).
