Overall a reliable and sturdy stroller

I purchased the Maclaren Twin Techno (In Storm Grey) mostly for its well-trusted brand name. I spent hours on the internet shopping for a reliable, yet functional double stroller for my two daughters 2 1/2 and 8 months. After almost a year of use, here is what I have found so far:

Pros:

1. It is well-made, sturdy, sleek and good-looking.
2. Has a small cup holder for parents, although it turned out to be too small to fit even a medium-sized drink.
3. Canopy is made of good quality vinyl. I never had a problem with it coming off during use.
4. Five-point harness is well-made. My wiggling daughters can't get out of it even if they try.
5. Seats are well-cushioned.
6. Recline is good- I think it has 4 points. The recline feature is fairly easy to use. My daughters have no problem taking naps in it.
7. Easy to steer around malls and indoors. It fits through most doorways and aisles, although of course, some aisles at departments are a lot smaller than others-which means you have to take a detour.


Now for the cons:

1. It is a bit heavier than I'd like. I have no problem lifting it in and out of the trunk--but I wouldn't be able to do it with a crying baby in my arms.
2. Small baskets. Small (virtually useless) cupholder.
3. The side aluminum bar broke after a year of use while folding. Good thing I had product replacement plan. =)
