not that bad for the price of $220

Date of Review:  Apr 2, 2008
Review: with upgrade 1.72 firmware

Way better than the tomtom one in the US. Not the best obviously for the price. If you want a unit that does the basics pretty good this is recommended. Testing was done in California. Has subpar text to speech...

so far, so good

Date of Review:  Dec 17, 2006
Review: Easy to program, easy to read, and very accurate. Only one fault so far, it doesn't speak to you EVERY time you have to make the turn, so you might have to look at the screen to make sure you are on track, which can be dangerous and distracting. But...

Great for Basic Navigation!

Date of Review:  May 30, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you need good accurate POIs do not get this unit! If you want an affordable accurate multi-featured GPS that will keep you from getting lost I would recommend.
Review: I purchased a 2200T from Costco. I returned it after using it for about 3 weeks.

Before I ever attempted to use the unit I loaded the latest firmware. I had no software problems such as the screen freezing or locking up, and the voice...

Great Price for the features, but I've returned mine

Date of Review:  Jul 22, 2007
Review: Purchased my unit at Costco at a great price. Unit is easy to use, but it seemed stubborn to actually recalculate my route while I was traveling in the Colorado Rockies. It insisted on my making a u-turn rather than finding another route. Biggest...

Where is the Topo?

Date of Review:  Apr 22, 2007
Review: I wanted a GPS that I could use for traveling, and hiking. The 2200t claims to be upgradable to the crossOverGPS.

I bought this unit yesterday, and have been extremely impressed with the reception. It has consistently tracked 10 satellites...

Magellan RoadMate 2200T GPS Review - Great

Date of Review:  May 29, 2007
The Bottom Line: The 2200T was easy to use and had the features I needed. I'd buy again.
Review: I recently purchased the RoadMate 2200T for my wife. Prior to selecting the RoadMate 2200T, I researched the internet for the options in a GPS which I thought valuable. I narrowed my search down to either the Magellan 2200T or a Garmin. I decided to...

Need fine tuning

Date of Review:  Jul 10, 2007
The Bottom Line: Hey, for $219 it's the best bargain around.
Review: I had purchased the 2200T about 3 months ago at Costco for $299. Although the products maps worked well, changing the route from the way it wanted to route me caused nothing but problems. I was in Atlantic City NJ and set the machine for shortest...

Magellan 2200T - Service

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this GPS to anyone. If it doesn't work you might as well throw it away instead of sending it back for repair.
Review: I purchased the Magellan 2200T Roadmate as a gift for my husband Christmas 2006. It worked fine, except when plotting directions to our home. The road we live on was not located in front of our house. No matter which way we plotted directions it...

Just about the right bang for the buck

Date of Review:  Feb 18, 2008
Review: We purchased the Magellan RoadMate 2200T from Costco in May 2007 for $249. I was looking for something I could take on business trips so I would not have to continually print out Mapquest.com directions and almost get into accidents looking at them...

Magellan RoadMate 2200T

Date of Review:  Apr 10, 2007
Review: This may be the newest but I'm not impressed. My first 2200T was returned because the update on the website created a screen error on the 2200T. The screen shifted up making the unit inoperable. As a result, the update has now been turned off. What...
