A Hitchcock Gem

If you are a Hitchcock fan, or even a mystery fan, or even a black and white fan, or even just like a good movie, this movie will do you. Not only is it a Hitchcock mystery, which grips you on its own, its also a Hitchcock with a sense of humor. There is even a song "Que Sara, Sara" which stuck in my head for days after I saw the movie. It nothing too hard, no major violence and nothing too disturbing. Hitchcock kept his balance here and the movie stays well on the safe and acceptable side. Hitchcock is a master director and his talents are rather well showcased in this film. There are a few flaws. The movie is a bit slow for us new century viewers but it has a satisfying conclusion. And when you are done with The Man Who Knew Too Much you can go rent The Man Who Knew Too Little a parody of the Hitchcock film starring Bill Murray. You'll be able to get all the jokes even if you don't like the Murray film.
