Author's Review
A friend of mine gave me marble madness for Game Boy Color because she became tired of it. I, on the other hand, got frustrated with it and gave it to another friend. (heh, heh, heh) The object is to get the little marble through the path to the goal. Then you go to the next level where you try the same thing but with increasing difficulty. I only reached level 3 before tearing my hair out. The problem is the control pad on the GBC-- it can't control the marble effectively! The marble goes at either 45-degree angles or 90-degree angles from where you aim the control pad, neither of which are consistant with the arrows on the control pad! That makes it very easy for the marble to fall off the ledge, slide, etc. You can change the settings from 45 to 90 but this only adds to more confusion between the control pad and the ball.
The graphics are very stone-age--frequently after the ball falls, part of the ball is missing.
Also, it does not have the capacity to save your game,so when you shut off the Game Boy, you will have to re-do all of the levels that you have already conquered. Also, this game does not allow you to compete with a friend, as it is designed for only one player.
