Who were some of the great strength men of old?
Date of Review: Oct 25, 2000
If you are a man that loves to look at photographs of other men that are in shape then this is right up your alley. Men's Workout monthly is completely filled up with ripped bodies of men that will make you want to look just like them ..... Or will it?
I picked up this magazine because the publication that my husband normally reads was not available on the shelf. After I took it home, I was disappointed because I just did not find the information useful.
What I would like to see:
I am not the workout pusher in our family. My husband is ..... so in order to properly give suggestions I pulled out some of the material he reads. I just do not see this kind of information in much of any kind of magazine today. Developing a muscular development, and appearance is highly desirable.
The Mighty Apollon - This man without warming up lifted 250 kg in the dead lift, making him among the first to do so.
Harold Ansorge - Ansorge started working out and the age of 10. When he began 17 he joined a traveling fair. He is best known for his strong man capabilities and acrobatic abilities. In 1909, he took 161 1/4 pound and swung it with one arm. He was Britain's strongest man until the 30s.
Ernest Cadine - He was an Olympics winner in the 1912. He was known for balancing 5 billiard cues level with his arm in the same alignment as his shoulder.
Cinquenvalli - He became one of the first men to juggle 50lbs. This was suppose to be his lightest weight.
I could go on about the most incredible men that the human of today should read about, but I am old fashion. This is the article implantation that I like to read. This magazine does not have stories, photos and ads along this line and I would by it if they did.
