Author's Review
I ended up purchasing this keyboard by default, I'll admit. I needed a USB keyboard, and wanted the media control keys since I usually have my MP3s playing in the background while I work, and this was the only one I could find that met those two criteria. However, having been pushed here by default, this is one of the best keyboards I've ever used. The keys feel solid, and there's a good feedback when they're pressed, the key size feels perfect, and the number of features is incredible. The five "favorites" keys can be programmed on first use (or from the pop-up menu, or from the configuration program), and add a surprising amount of versatility to the work. I've used other "internet/media" keyboards before so the mail/web/messenger keys are old hat, but quite useful. I don't work with pictures much, so I figured the zoom wasn't going to be that useful. Boy was I wrong. It's also operational in the Firefox browser - and quite handy when the web site has too small print. The positioning of the extra keys seems optimal as well - the zoom is readily accessed without lifting my hands from the keyboard, as are the favorites and media keys (I've got long fingers, so I don't even have to move my hands off the palm rest - most folks will have to move a fraction of an inch, though). In summary, this is a keyboard that just feels right - good tactile feedback, lots of functionality, and a good layout.
